Adventures in Europe 2026, Installment One
By Theresa Shay
This is Heidrun, the coordinator of TriYoga Bremen in Germany.
This is where she teaches, “auf dem Land” as we say in German, or “on the land”, in nature.
Hedirun and I met at the TriYoga International retreats held annually in Germany, led by Yogini Kaliji. Last year at the retreat, Heidrun invited me to come do a hands-on workshop for her students. Bremen lies close to the area where I was an exchange student in 1986. My heart has a soft spot for northern Germany and the TriYoga students there for that reason.
One of the gifts of traveling to teach TriYoga is noticing how the bodies need the same things.
We have a shared experience of being human, and the ways we need to open to energy are consistent across time and pace, countries and decades.
It was a joy to get to play with these students, not just to show them how to place hands to give better assists, but how to see each other, how to invite each other more fully in the Flow.
It was a real joy, and I look forward to the next time.
