Gratitude.

Jai. (victory)

Soft patience.

The hope of connection.

A spark of dopino (capacity to act without heaviness).

Joy.

Nitya-bhakti (everlasting devotion) opens us to 2026.

This poem was created by the words received by members of our community for 2026, plus a few prepositions, articles, conjunctions, and verb endings to make it all flow. Languages include English, German, Sanskrit, and one “formed” word. Read more about the impulse behind this word art and poem in Joanne Cahill’s Wisdom for the Week, Give Me a Word.

A thought from one of our contributors:

This year “Open” seems to be calling out. I seek words that are adjectives and verbs, and sometimes nouns as well. I like that I will be reminded of my new word whenever I pass a business that is operating. Take a look at some of the bright wild neon out there! What a reminder to stay receptive, alert, and willing.

Off we go into 2026 with Intention.
